Paula Patton to Law & Order: SVU

‘Law & Order: SVU’ exclusive: ‘Precious’ star circling new ADA post | Ausiello | EW.com

Is SVU close to reaching a verdict on a new full-time assistant district attorney? Sources confirm to [Michael Ausiello] exclusively that Precious actress Paula Patton is in advanced talks to succeed Sharon Stone as ADA. Reps for NBC and Wolf Films declined to comment.

In Precious, Patton played Ms. Rain, the alternative high school teacher who served as a mentor of sorts for Gabourey Sidibe’s title character. And she was awesome, says Mike Ausiello (in which I agree).

Thoughts? Is it high time SVU hired a permanent ADA? Is Patton the right woman for the job? – I think so!

Some did you knows.

Did you know? That Paula Patton is singer Robin Thicke’s wife? – Yes!

Did you know? That Patton had her first child (a son) on the day the departure episode of “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” for Vincent D’Onofrio & Kathryn Erbe (“Loyalty (Part 2)“) originally aired on USA Network; Tuesday, April 6, 2010? – I myself did not know that!

I hope Patton enjoys SVU and sticks around as long as Novak and longer (depending on her acting and her character)!

They so badly need a permanent ADA! Played by an actress who can properly act! With an interesting, dynamic and three-dimensional character! It’d be a good way to start revitalising the show.

I can’t think of anyone better than Paula Patton on SVU (as long as her character is better than Kim Greylek and Jo Marlowe) as long as she acts better than Sharon Stone!
