Sneak Read from Law & Order: Criminal Intent – “Bloodshot”

I’m feeling very generous today… I’m going to give you a ‘sneak read’ from a scene from my Law & Order: Criminal Intent story, “Bloodshot“. Enjoy!

Mark Letterman and his new wife were sitting down to dinner when she briefly went to the bathroom, leaving Mark in plain sight. (He’s a suspect in many murder cases) Detectives Lupo and Eames spotted him at the table. Eames sat in front of him, “So has the desert come yet?” she asked.

He tried to run and into Lupo who tackled him down to the floor and cuffed him, “Mark Letterman, guess what? You’re under arrest for the murders of your first wife and unborn child, Officer Charles Mitchell, Charles McMillan, and for owning weapons in this city without a permit, and for hiring a hit man to blow up police. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law you have the right…”

———————————————————–

“See, before you pull the ‘I wasn’t there number’; we have your car, your forensics, and no alibi other than your wife to disconnect you from these murders.” Eames said.

Lupo added, “Not to mention she’s involved in these murders and more.”

“What more murders?” Letterman asked.

Eames went into a binder; which was Goren’s and pulled out case files.

Well what do you think? Two-hour season premiere Tuesday September 28, 2010 at 8PM/7c at: http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1808736/

What’s Lupo doing on an MCS case? A cameo appearance?

Constructive criticism: where exactly is the second scene? I’d assume the interrogation room but you need to make this clearer. Throw in a couple more directions, like:

Lupo added, “Not to mention she’s involved in these murders and more.” He shot an accusatory gaze at the man trying to avoid it opposite him.

    Make it more visual. 😀
